Sponge Grinding Block

We adopt a 3D classification system of "material grading, shape customization, and color functionalization" to enable customers with different needs to quickly find suitable products. The specific classification logic is as follows:

1. Material Grading: Determine Hardness and Durability by Grinding Needs

• High-Density Grade: High sponge density, sufficient hardness, and small deformation, focusing on "precision material removal". Suitable for fine grinding of narrow gaps, angles, and curved surfaces. Matched with shapes like parallelogram and fan, it can penetrate complex workpiece structures.
• Medium-Density Grade: Good sponge elasticity, strong flexibility, and moderate deformation, focusing on "curved surface fitting". Suitable for grinding special-shaped workpieces and fragile materials to avoid scratching the workpiece surface. Matched with shapes like trapezoid and square, it balances manual force application and large-area grinding.
• Industrial Grade: Tear-resistant, oil-resistant, and dust-resistant base material, focusing on "heavy-duty durability". Adaptable to high-intensity industrial scenarios. Only available in gray and brown, matched with shapes like trapezoid+arc and parallelogram, it can cover automatic and manual heavy-duty grinding needs.

2. Shape Customization: Determine Adaptability by Workpiece Structure

• Square: Regular four sides, with a standard flat grinding surface. Suitable for clamping by automatic equipment and large-area grinding of metal plates and stone surfaces.
• Trapezoid: Upper narrow and lower wide design, the wide side is easy to hold and apply force, and the narrow side focuses on small areas. Suitable for grinding furniture frames, metal edges and corners that require "precision material removal".
• Parallelogram: Beveled structure, which can penetrate narrow gaps and angles of workpieces, solving the dead angle problem that "right-angle abrasives cannot reach".
• Fan: Arc edge design, which can fit curved surfaces of different curvatures, with no traces left during grinding.
• Trapezoid+Arc: Combines the "force application advantage" of trapezoid and the "curved surface advantage" of fan. Adaptable to complex workpieces with "curved surface + angle", reducing the number of tool changes and improving efficiency.

3. Color Functionalization: Determine Identification by Scene Needs

Color is not just for decoration, but a "visual signal for grinding needs" to help quickly identify uses and precision and avoid wrong product selection: Industrial-grade exclusive colors: Gray is suitable for medium-fine grinding, and brown is suitable for medium-rough grinding; Medium-density exclusive colors: Gray is suitable for medium grinding, and black is suitable for rough grinding; High-density multi-colors: Black is oil-resistant, gray/brown balances precision and durability, green/purple shows high-end, yellow/gray shows residue, covering the identification needs of different fine grinding scenarios.

Correct use can effectively improve the grinding quality and extend the product life. The specific operating points are as follows：

• Model Selection & Matching: Choose the corresponding grade and specification according to the workpiece material and grinding needs. For metal rough grinding, select industrial-grade brown + coarse grit; for woodworking paint surface fine grinding, select medium-density gray + medium-fine grit; for precision hardware polishing, select high-density multi-color + ultra-fine grit, ensuring the three aspects of "material-grit-scene" are matched.
• Dry Grinding Operation: Before dry grinding, check that the surface of the grinding block is free of oil and impurities. Maintain uniform force when holding it to avoid excessive local force causing the abrasive to fall off quickly. When grinding in scenarios with much dust such as metal and stone, it is necessary to equip with dust collection equipment to reduce dust accumulation affecting the grinding effect and protect the health of operators.
• Wet Grinding Operation: When wet grinding, first soak the sponge grinding block in clean water and squeeze out excess water. During grinding, add water as needed to keep the sand surface moist. Wet grinding is suitable for temperature-sensitive workpieces, which can reduce the grinding temperature, avoid workpiece deformation or paint surface burns, and clean the residual abrasive chips on the workpiece surface in time after grinding.
• Cleaning & Maintenance: After grinding, rinse the residual abrasive chips and dust on the surface of the sponge grinding block with clean water in time, gently squeeze to dehydrate, and place it in a ventilated and cool place to dry. Avoid direct sunlight or high-temperature baking to prevent the sponge base material from aging and hardening. If the abrasive falls off seriously in some areas after cleaning, replace it in time to avoid affecting the grinding precision.
• Storage Notes: When storing, place the sponge grinding blocks in an environment with a temperature of 18-22℃ and a humidity of 40-65%. Avoid contact with sharp objects and strong solvents to prevent damage to the sand surface or failure of the adhesive. It is recommended to store grinding blocks of different grades and colors separately for quick access next time.
